Job Board Software for Publishers Outside the US

Add to Preferred Sources

Most job board software is built for an American board: English only, card payments in dollars, and Google for Jobs taken for granted. A publisher in Pristina, Nairobi or Montreal needs something else: the board in its readers' language, employers who pay in local currency or by invoice, and an honest picture of where Google's job search works. Here is what to look for.

Quick Answer

Choose software that runs the board in your readers' language with separate indexed pages per language, lets you charge in your own currency through your own payment account, and accepts invoices for the employers who cannot pay by card, such as NGOs, UN agencies, governments and large companies. Then check whether Google for Jobs is available in your country, because it changes where your search traffic comes from.

Run the Board in Your Readers' Language

Kardow boards ship in six languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Albanian. A board can run in one of them or several. With more than one turned on, each job is translated automatically into the others, readers see the board in their browser's language when it is available, and every language gets its own pages with the right language tags, so each one can be found in search.

Job alert emails follow the reader's language too, so a reader who signs up in French gets French alerts.

Currencies and Card Payments

Employers who pay by card pay into your own Stripe account, in the currency you set on each plan. Kardow takes 0% of what you sell. Stripe supports accounts in 51 countries; our payment coverage by country lists them.

Your own payment link is the answer for markets where cards are not how businesses pay. It sends the employer to a page you already use, whether that is a PayPal page, a mobile money page or bank transfer instructions, and you mark the order paid when the money arrives.

Invoices for NGOs and Large Employers

In many markets the employers with the biggest hiring budgets are the ones least able to pay by card: international NGOs, UN agencies, embassies, governments, universities and large companies. They pay on an invoice, often against a purchase order, on 30-day terms.

On Kardow's Scale plan, any plan can be sold by invoice. The employer posts the job and you bill them from your own accounting system. When the money lands, one click marks it paid and publishes the job. Kardow keeps the list of what is owed, moves anything unpaid after 30 days to overdue, and copies the billing details for you. It does not produce the invoice document itself.

Job board software for publishers

Kardow gives your publication a jobs section on your own domain, in your readers' language, filled with jobs from day one. Employers pay by card, invoice or your own payment link, and Kardow takes 0%.

Google for Jobs Is Not Available Everywhere

Google's job search is a large source of traffic for job boards in the US, but it is not available in every country. We maintain a country-by-country dataset checked against Google's own list: of 199 countries, it is available in 129, not available in 56, and Google makes no statement about 14.

Some examples matter for publishers. Kosovo and Albania are not on Google's list. Lebanon is. Kenya, Nigeria and Somalia are covered because Google includes the whole of Sub-Saharan Africa. Where Google for Jobs is not available, your job pages still appear in ordinary search results, and your own site, newsletter and social channels carry more of the traffic.

Jobs From Day One

A jobs section needs listings before it can sell posts. Kardow imports jobs from careers sites and job feeds in over 100 countries, in any language, filtered by location and keyword, so the board has local listings the day it launches. Paid posts from local employers then sit on top.

What Kardow Does Not Do

  • Right-to-left languages. Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu layouts are not supported yet.
  • Languages outside the six. The board's own text can be rewritten, but system screens and alert emails come in the six languages above. Ask us before you start if you need another.
  • Invoice documents. You bill from your own accounting system; Kardow tracks what is owed and publishes on payment.
  • Built-in PayPal or mobile money checkout. Card checkout runs on Stripe. Everything else goes through your own payment link.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which languages can a Kardow board run in?

Six ship with every board: English, French, German, Spanish (Mexico), Portuguese (Brazil) and Albanian. With more than one enabled, jobs are translated automatically into each of them and every language gets its own pages. Right-to-left languages such as Arabic are not supported yet. If your readers use a language outside the six, talk to us before you start.

Can employers pay in our local currency?

Yes, by card, wherever your Stripe account can charge that currency. You set a price and a currency on each plan. Where cards are not practical, the Scale plan lets employers pay by invoice or through your own payment link.

Does Kardow send invoices to employers?

No. The invoice option means the employer posts now and pays later: you send the invoice from your own accounting system, and marking it paid in Kardow publishes the job. Kardow keeps the list of what is owed, flags invoices overdue after 30 days, and lets you copy the billing details in one click.

What currency is Kardow itself billed in?

Kardow's own plans are priced in USD, EUR and GBP. That is separate from what your employers pay you, which is whatever currency you set on your plans.

Will my jobs appear in Google for Jobs?

Only in the countries where Google offers it. Our dataset of 199 countries, last checked against Google's own list on September 19, 2026, shows where it is and is not available. Where it is not, job pages can still rank in ordinary Google results.
